Hopefully Android 12, with its improved notifications can help rectify it (a bit). ;)
But again, the wait for that will be insanely long :(

We're working on the iOS version right now. It's hard as we're not used to making iOS apps usually 😆

We're putting iOS above other browsers. Certainly, we'll look into it! If you have a sneaky chrome tab open in the background with Clipt it will work!

Thanks all ❤️ Really appreciate it! Give us your feedback after testing. BTW we didn't have anything to do with File Dash RIP 😵

Why not evolve "File Dash" adding more functions like those? said:
For example, Asus has in its file manger app a samba service with which you can upload download everything you want through a web interface.

This is free to download from play store.
    Not pre-installed and not bloatware.
Also, the OneLab team is not associated with the fixing of bugs or OOS team.

Nice application that can be useful. Let's hope it can be opened to other browsers

Okay here are some bugs/suggestions in a 15 mins test I did just now lol.

Device Used (phone)- OnePlus 7T running Android 11 OBT
Device Used (laptop)- Dell 3410 running Windows 10 Pro

    1. FILE PASTING NOTIFICATION

    Description-
When we transfer a file from the source phone to the receiving laptop, the Clipt notification which appears, mentions that the file can be pasted. But, instead, only text from clipboard can be pasted, the other files like doc or photos or videos are not pasted.

It isn't pasted. Though we can download and paste, but according to the notification, the file should be readily and directly be available for pasting.

    2. APP OPTIMIZATION

    Description-
Being just a gateway and the hub for transfer/sharing of files, the time taken by the app to startup and get to standby is really high. It takes a lot of time (3-5 sec) to display the device name and the loaded files.
I know that this is the first public build, that's why we're probably facing this optimization issue but it should be addressed on the app and extension both.

    3. PROGRESS BAR FOR TRANSFER

    Description-
Currently the app and the extension simply have a notification which shows that the file is being transferred.
A progress bar which shows the estimated time remaining, the file size transferred/total and the % of transfer done will be helpful for keeping a track on the transfer.

For example - Google drive also shows a progress bar when we upload a file to the cloud.

    4. BLANK IMAGE ON WINDOWS CLIPBOARD

    Description-
When we transfer a file to the Laptop/PC from source phone, it should automatically add itself to the Windows Clipboard as described by the app. But instead, the clipboard shows a blank space in place of the image. And the image is also not available for direct pasting.

This shows that the image transferred to laptop is currently available only for download, and it isn't processed (which goes against the motive/description of the app)

    5. OPTION TO SELECT MULTIPLE FILES FROM PHONE

    Description-
When we click on the '+' button on the app, a new window opens for selection of files.
But, personally I'll use the app for sending school notes, and so, sending multiple files is a really essential feature which should be introduced to the app so that we don't have to repeat the same steps several times.

    6. POP UP EXTENSION INSTEAD OF NEW WINDOW FOR TRANSFER

    Description-
When we transfer a file from laptop to phone, a new window opens in Chrome.
Instead of setting up a new window to open everytime you send a file, the mechanism should be introduced to the pop up only, to improve the speed and overall experience of the user.

By clicking the transfer button, a new section should open to browse files on laptop or directly paste from clipboard.

    7. CLICK TO SYNC CLIPBOARD

    Description-
Instead of automatically syncing the desktop clipboard with the phone, there should be an option to sync whenever we click a button on the extension. To prevent unwanted blocks of text filling the phone's clipboard.
Same can be applied to the Clipt app on phone too.

    ===========================================
And!...that's it...hope this helps you to improve the experience of the app for the users.

Will update if I find more bugs/suggestions 😉

    Pinging some smarts guys for opinion - @dsmonteiro @Venky61 @Sam T.
Shows the correct one for me, even though my chrome and google app account are different 🤔
