    Hello members,

One question that for me is essential to buy this phone (i had all oneplus phones),
Does the unlock fingerprint work with screen OFF or do i need to wake up the screen before unlock?

I love the fact that they didn't even bother to mention it. Its as if they are embarrassed that its gone and I suspect worried that its going to impact sales.....rightly so.

still it's removing an already standard Port and replacing it with a dongle that's easy to get lost .

Yes. OnePlus does not have a local presence in US. As such they can get away with not having taxes....depending on what state you are in. As T mobile is in every state. You will pay taxes based on where you are.

Hey guys. Long time iPhone user, its all I have used since the iPhone 3G. This year the OnePlus 6 was the first android phone ever to really make me want to jump ship. And so I am. Though as I was about to buy the Red Oneplus 6, I was told about the very soon release of the 6T. So I have held out (which has been very hard as I've been excited to buy) for the release of the 6T. I'm a little disappointed its being released in USA and Europe (India) in a couple days 1st November but we in UK have to wait for 6th November, but its OK I've waited 11 weeks for this so another is fine :)

So after watching the event which was great, I look on the Oneplus sales website, but surprised to see the exact same colours as last year and less options. For example no Red no White version and the Only 2 versions Midnight Black and Mirror black aren't available for all versions. the £499 6GB/128GB is only for Mirror black (personally I want the Red version or if I have to the midnight black) Also the same goes for 8GB/256GB is only is midnight black, unlike the middle version 8GB/128GB version which is avaible in both black versions...

Where are the new colours or at least all of the previous 6 colours?
Because of this I'm tempted now to just get the official Oneplus 6 in Red the 8GB/128GB for £519 on Amazon which are on pre order and on sale from the 30th October (tomorrow from this post)

After all that holding out, I'm still in love with Oneplus and the phone BUT feel like there is very little difference between the 6 and the 6T and far far less options.

I believe the upgraded T variants should offer all the versions and colour of the normal version much like others do sometimes offer even more versions.

So yeah, I'm a little deflated, I can get the exact same 8GB/128GB Oneplus 6 but in the beautiful Red for actually £10 less than the newer 8GB/128GB 6T, which frankly other than a small increase in battery size and the under the screen fingerprint system is no different, oh and the loss of the headphone jack though honestly doesn't bother me to much now I use Wireless headphone and we can use type C earphones, we dont have wireless charging, and much less tech in the front facing camera with the loss of sensors, though I do like the droplet newer look. (not really I know some other small things but frankly hardly)

So yeah I don't know what to do. Some advice guys of possible.

    Many Thanks for reading :)
    Also where is the
"Notification Light RGB LED notification light" Missing of the tech spec list why?
Feel like if you look though the tech spec more stuff has been removed than added much more :(

@Pete, will the OnePlus 6T be supported by Sprint? It seems like they are compatible:

    FDD LTE: Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/ 19/20/25/26/28/29/30/32/66/71
    TDD LTE: Band 34/38/39/40/41/46
    TD-SCDMA: Band 34/39
    UMTS(WCDMA): Band 1/2/4/5/8/9/19
    CDMA: BC0/BC1
    GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

I am ready to leave all other phones behind!

Yep STANDARD. So when I drive from Minnesota to Edmonton that 21 hour trip somewhere around the 7 hour mark I need to unplug the headphone, start charging the phone, switch to FM radio. Wonderful progress.

Then I guess its better to buy it from OnePlus website directly when paying the full price instead of installment plan.

Looks like you need to wakeup the screen before unlocking as I read in a review that the fingerprint reader is not always active

Everything is great about the OnePlus 6T except the animation design for in-display fingerprint scanner.
