An 855 device is never going to run better than an 855+ device, otherwise Qualcomm have wasted their time & effort bringing out the new SoC.

Can oneplus still be considered an innovative and cheap mid entry phone now the cheapest is £550?

I just feel its no longer the case especially when you can get something like the Xiaomi Mi9T Pro for £399 (granted its software isn't a patch on oxygen OS) which is a whole £150 cheaper.

I used to love Google nexus phones and last had a nexus5 but then Google went and upped the prices considerably. That didn't bother me as oneplus were producing great phones at great prices, I got a OP3 and after that a OP5T,which at £450 was still good value.

I think sweet spot for oneplus should £500 but they have now increased prices by 10% and now thinking shall I stick with oneplus or find another phone as there are increasingly good phones around the £4-500 mark.

Has oneplus alienated its original core market/fans?

Wow a 10% increase in price for 7T to £550 in the UK, I can't see the small upgrades justify that leap in price when the 7T Pro seems to stay at the same price. Plus you can presently get a non Pro 7 for less than £350 from Chinese online sellers.

The difference is so minimum that you won't even notice if going from 855 - 855+. In a few months the 855+ will be out dated. 855+ is meant to close the gap between it and apples chip set because apple is so far ahead of the game. 855 plus is to keep flagship Android phones competitive in that right. Ram and storage speed always makes the biggest difference in performance. Put the 855+ in a phone with less ram and or slower storage and see what happens

when you look at it the competition yes. You're looking at just the price. The price of hardware continues to rise. They still provide high-end hardware without sacrificing durability. They always price their phones according to what it takes to make them , so the can make some profit without killing the consumers pocket. My 7 Pro is the most affordable flagship I've ever owned. Other flagships you have to wait for a deal, discounts, and or some type of specials for the average everyday Joe to be able to afford it.

I wonder what the price of the 256 gb OnePlus 7T will be, and will it be available at the October 12th Pop-up Store in London?
