I'm using Bluetooth since 2011, Jack or not, I don't care, the adaptator Jack to C will stay connected to my jack of my Plantronics BBP2 in case I don't have battery but for me it's not a problem

I'm sorry but this is the dumbest thing I've heard and I continue to hear it over and over and over. The audio jack is still the MOST CONVENIENT option for listening to music. Not everyone is an audiophile. I would actually bet you money the vast majority of people buy headphones without much care for sound quality as long as they hold up well over time. This far every company, including One plus, has told the public we are ditching the jack because we can use the space for newer tech. Like the in display fingerprint sensor probably for the 6t. How many people hate the current finger print sensor that we need to lose the headphone jack for that? How many people would lose their minds if the phone was a few millimeters thicker or taller to accommodate both? Stop spouting the same thoughtless response of "this tech is dying" and ask yourself what actually makes sense. Losing HDMI to USB c WITH THUNDERBOLT 3 makes all the sense in the world because you get data transfer and power delivery through the same cable. Losing the headphone jack just means most of us need more cables, dongles, chargers etc. NOT making life easier.

    Allstar12345, Sep 14, 2018 :
I worry for durability, the amount of ports I've broken from dropping the device when having headphones in/cables plugged in, knackered my Nokia with that, had the USB DAB radio plugged in and it killed the port, luckily it had a backup charge port or I would have been screwed.

Good case for wireless charging now, as a backup incase the port is broken (I'm unlike to use it everyday)

I believe this isn't a bad thing at all and as long as manufacturers make their headphones with the type-c input at the side of their jack ones I don't see the problem.

I do believe we have reached the end of the jack but surely they will be able to further enhance the audio quality by using a newer input method and let's not forget how old the jack is and it's only natural that one day it would be changed.

I'm just happy they are in fact making type-c earphones as it eliminates the need to use a stupid add-on which isn't at all ideal.

I do hope oneplus 6T will have the headphone jack coz the 'T' lineup was supposed to be just an incremental update. But now it looks like oneplus 6 was an incremental update to oneplus 5T except the processor and and oneplus 6T would be the freshly baked product.
