No it shouldn't. OnePlus expects the owner of an account to make the purchase. If he/she is moving to another address for example, that shipping address should be changed.

All emails regarding the ordering and shipment of the device and/or accessories go to the email address tied to that account, the original one. It also takes only that info to send a ticket to the Support to change the shipping address.

I do not support the sharing of an account with some random member, and I'm pretty sure OnePlus doesn't either. Feel free to risk it as it may turn out fine, but if it goes wrong there's nothing anyone can do.

Sir if you change the email address and get it confirmed by the original account holder then that becomes the default email to log in to the account.I did the same and bought my phone that way .

Looks like a scam. Not a coincidence that these two threads pop up at the same time with the same story if you're asking me: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/invites.89283

Therefore, when accepting this offer, please take into consideration that he/she does not choose to use the share option. If you're asking me, this looks a lot like he/she's going to contact the OnePlus team and change the shipping address or a similar scam.

Ok, I don't know exactly how the sharing thing works (as I haven't had an invite myself), but other people mentioned that there is an option to share your invite even after you have claimed it.
And as long as it's not possible to change order details / shipping address after an order, it should be fine. But if that is possible, there's nothing else we can do but trust your (proverbial) blue eyes.
