Could a staff member please confirm the status of this please.

Person A HAS received an invite to buy the OnePlus 2.

They decide at the moment not to avail and have decided to give the invite to Person B who is wanting to buy immediately.

However Person B soon discovers that the invite is actually tied to the email address of Person A and can not be claimed by them.

So has the invite system been changed this year so that an invite can not be claimed / shared by the original recipient. ?

    Can you clarify this position.

That's indeed the way invites are handled for now. Shareable invites will come soon and those can be shared with anyone though.

Thanks for clarification @Waterdroid. Its just a shame, i will more than likely receive an early supporters invite but at this time I am not in a financial position to buy and i was hoping that i would be able to share it and not let it go to waste.

Well, at least it means people will not be able to sell the early invites, and those who actually wants the phone will get the phone. But yes, an announcement would've been nice at least.

It means that if you want to share your invite with a friend you can only claim it using the email it was sent to, ie your email

your friend cannot claim it under his email . It is connected to the email it was sent to, ie yours and as a result your friend cannot claim it under his email

I think is a good way of preventing ppl making money with the invites :)
Anyway if your friend wants an OPT, you can always claim it with your email, and make the payment and sending through his PayPal account, true?

Actually it would be good to tie all of them to emails, because then it would expedite the reservation list run through.

Imo its not wrong for people to sell invites , if someone is dumb enough to go buying them.

So I want to buy Op2 and live in Bangladesh, so there is no way I can pay for it from here as I don't have a credit card. What I was planning to do was send the link to my sister she would buy it for me then send it to me through whatever means possible (mail or through when someone travels here). If I am not able to transfer the link to her is it possible to give her my email password she logs into account an then buys it for me?
