Invites. What's the coolest way you've seen them given away so far?

So when someone posts that they have invites, sometimes they are giving them to a specific post number, sometimes it's a guessing game, sometimes it's random.
What games/contests have you see by forum MEMBERS that you thought were pretty awesome?
What game can you think of that would be fun to try?

There was one puzzle sometime back that required some advanced math to solve the missing alphanumeric characters of the invite code link. I think it was done up by an university professor.

A really cool way I thought was telling an embarrising story from your childhood. An eye for an eye so to speak :)

When someone poster the link and he blacked out one number or letter. So everyone had to guess and you had to be Quick to claim the invite ^^

I heard about people approaching with a sad story via PM and asking for help because they we're having a tough time. the people that responded and helped those people got an invite. that is awesome in my opinion

A couple good ones here. Maybe I'll post a request for really horrible throwback photos? Problem is, people will just Google for them. :( Still, would be good for a laugh.

Coolest way is to just notice someone is a good member and contact them directly and give them an invite.

I'm not a fan of these ego trips of posting offering

A recommend someone other then yourself thread. The recommended person had to be active in the forums and the poster was going to check the profiles to check the legitimacy of the candidate. Good way to find and meet another active person on the forums.

How is that an ego trip? If someone posts a fun method to give away an invite, that's an ego trip?
I think it's fun. It gives everyone a chance to play and win. Some worthy people may not have the extra time for a ton of forum interaction even though they try. Some may never post on a forum due to their nature.

I like the ones where they one who gives away don't is a badass and asks for likes or followers etc.
Maybe the best way is to make a cool game or puzzle...

What is fun is just having the phone to use. Having to beg in a forum is not fun. Offering up invites begging, whilst giving accomplishes the same thing with more dignity.
