I'm really glad I've made the switch from Android but I was disappointed that my iPhone headphones (the really comfortable ones that came with my iPhone 5) didn't work properly with the OPO. Only the middle button worked but (not the volume ones) and the microphone didn't work either. Anyway I ended up buying this e b a y and just got it today.

The microphone works fine but again only the middle button works so I guess I'll have to use the headset button controller app to emaulate the volume buttons. I also ordered another CTIA to OMTP d e a l e x t r e m e 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Earphone Adapter Cable as it was really cheap and much less awkward than the one above.

Haven't received it yet - will post here when I do.

I think the first one just adapt the mic.
What about the second one? Is it just for controls or will adapt the mic too?

How is the quality of the first adapter you mentioned? I bought something similar from Amazon so I could use my headphones with a fat audio jack with my phone case, but the thing was terrible. If you moved it the slightest bit the audio would drop out on one side. It was tolerable but it eventually crapped out.

I like the Apple ones as I find other in ear models really uncomfortable and also didn't want bulky headphones. Amazon do similar ones that are supposed to work well with Android phones including the opo.

Interesting, I'm in the same deal here. Trying to use Apple earpods (because they are so ******* comfortable) while using the all mighty OPO. Let me know when that second adapter arrives! :D

The volume buttons on Apple headsets will never work on OPO. Apple uses a proprietary chip to deal with their hardware protocol. I don't know if they've licensed it to anyone else, but I know that the OPO doesn't have it. You're lucky your headphones work (besides audio) with the OPO. It's always going to be problematic. Bacon-133 has been open forever and it will probably be one of the first tickets opened on CM12-S.

Buy yourself a set of xiaomi pistons for $25 or less. Work great with opo. Great sound too. That is what I use .

@digitaldr please let us know if the mic worked with that little adapter you bought... I would hate to have to replace by bose headphones only because OPO does not support them...

Buy OPO's silver bullet headphones. They're cheap, the buttons work and the sound is awesome!!
