I DO NOT want to start a flame war and/or provoke all the fan boys/girls, this is a serious question to determine whether the title #Flagship killer has any weight behind it in reality

I don't think it is. the flagship killer title is a good PR stunt but its not a valid and true statement

this phone is three features away from flagship killer. you can say that these features don't ,atter to you, but whether or not you like/use them is irreverent because they are the standard for Flagship phones

    1. IP certification (dust/water)
    2. NFC
    3. Expansible Storage

you can say that the camera is also not high quality enough because of the low MP count, but MP count is not the best determinant for picture quality and the OPT does shoot 4k and soon will do RAW format.

in conclusion: The OPT is not an actual Flagship killer, but it does compete with the flagships and it is a flagship phone because of the high specs/low price

    1. Water resistance/proofing is trade off for more design choice, even Samsung dropped it, and it isn't very common.
    2. Yeah that sucks, never used it but still sucks
    3. Another thing that not many phones use with the LG G4 and the Moto X being the last two flagships with MicroSD that I can remember.

    1. As far as waterproof is concerned, it isn't such a big issue because a year ago all devices came without that water proof thing.
    2. NFC isn't so important after all, there are a very few devices compatible with nfc.
    3. 64gb of storage is more than enough (i think), because it's been 7 months since i purchase the 2014 flagship killer the one plus one, and i haven't been able to fill even 20 gb of space...
In my opinion it is the 2016 flagship killer

IMO you can't claim to Never Settle or be a Flagship Killer with the type of missing features.

To be honest, I've not once used NFC on my devices, neither have I needed more than 64GB of storage. The looks and price of this device will more than make up for functions I don't use :)

You've got a point there, but of you see practically, there isn't much use of NFC currently, plus almost all devices that offer NFC are compatible with another baseline feature, Bluetooth... Right??

Good phone but no flagship killer. It can not be outdone by a phone debuted less than 12 hours later and be consider a flagship killer.

Don't you realize Flagship Killer is just a PR stunt. OP treats the term more as a noun.

It's just like Retina Display of Apple.

In reality no display is called a Retina Display, same way Flagship Killer is a mobile phone by OP, nothing else.
