If it was, it would be something OnePlus would be proud of, and they would advertise it. They don't, so it is not waterproof.

    No bro, sadly it's not.
Also, only 1 variant is there... 6gB RAM + 64GB.... It's sad that I've to spend 20-30$ extra for 6gB RAM as compared to 4gB... I wanted 4gB RAM...

While it would be great if it were waterproof, it's possible they couldn't get USB C to not short out (have any waterproof phones used USB-C?) or something. They have their reasons.

I do wish it was though, that extra peace of mind goes a long way...

It is not waterproof, but it would be a great deal if it was. I also need to test durability.

It's not dear. If it is, then every device is basic water resistance because obviously water won't seep inside it immediately!

Phone habits these days are "more in the pocket"...for my family that also means listening to music while having a shower or cooking a meal. Would be a pity if the op3 can't handle this....

I would sincerely hope that even though it is not waterproof, that it would be built well enough to hold out water and moisture from cooking etc.

    It is probably water resistant:
Once the water is inside the phone, it doesn't get out by itself anymore. ;)

Its a shame I would of liked water proof. My current phone I managed to drop in our loft water tank while using it as a torch to identify a leaking pipe I have never moved so quick in my life to get in that tank and remove my phone from now bottom of the tank and get the battery out as fast as possible. Luckily it was still on when I got it out which was a good sign dried it completly and sure enough it lasted. As well as that going back many years when I had a 'waterproof' Nokia before smartphones I put it through the washingmachine and then took into a swimming pool in my pocket lol. So yeh water proof probably a good idea for me.
