I would never use Google pay, so that was never an issue. It's got 99 problems, but NFC ain't one.

The only time I had NFC turned on was to watch the OnePlus Two VR launch video. Other than that, NFC has remained off the entire time

I have on my current phone NFC, never used it once. Tired of these phones filled with options you'll never use once even.

No. I've had my Galaxy S3 (with NFC) for 3 years now and I've never used NFC for anything serious. Although many stores around me advertise that you can use your NFC-enabled phone to pay (don't know which service they use), I don't see why I would pull out my phone to pay when I always carry my payment card with me anyway. I've on the other hand used my phone as a train/tram/flight ticket (which is kind of a similar thing) but that was with a QR-code so no need for NFC there. Yes it's feels strange to buy a phone without a feature that's present on all other flagship phones but once you think about what you'll be using that feature for, you'll probably realise there's no need for NFC.

No. I think when it comes down to it, the ugly Samsung knockoff FP scanner kills it for me the most... among other flaws.
