I just realized the Google assistant on my OP3 has been updated, and I didn't want it, I liked the old version, the screen text recognition was great and pretty useful, now I can't use that anymore or I don't know how. Is there any way for go back to the previous version?

I don't know of a way, but even if you can revert back to the old version it'll get updated on the server side again.
So there's no point in bothering.

One thing is you can turn off the Google Assistant in settings, and you just click on blank space on Google bar you have. That's your old google assistant.

What did you do to get the update? Do you have language set to English(US) if so a temporary work around is to set it to English(UK) or another regional dialect

If you continue with the Assistant it will ask you to ask it what it can do. After that you will be able to scroll down and screen search is still there. This will only be for the first time.

I could go back, thanks for the help, I did it directly from Google play un uninstalling the updates but is there any way for blocking that automatically update? because I think that'll be happen again, it's annoying because I. like the way it is, I don't use the voice commands so often it's not so useful for me
