Is this a pre-installed screen protector? I just got the OnePlus 8 Pro new, but not sure if this is a pre-installed screen protector, part of the top layer of the screen, or just a film they put on for transport that is meant to be peeled off when the phone is to be used.

Would it give reasonable protection from crack? I don't mean dropping the phone, but like accidental impact to the screen.

No drop and crack protection, only scratches. If you want more protection buy tempered glass. This is not enough

Thanks, but I don't like glass screen protectors, they don't conform to the curved edges as well (I have a Samsung S8+ before this phone). I'll just be a bit more careful when using the phone.
