You know majority of the OPO owners like myself until now realised that the lens is a bit bended. When you try to RMA about it then they will bring up BS like its an 'feature' as like it was for the yellow band.

Yeah but my one is the Chinese variant so I am assuming most of the OPO comes like this. Don't worry about it.

So is the Chinese variant different in the OPO casing or in the hardware itself?

Of course it is. Same factory. Different handling. Different price. (Different software). Similar phone. Maybe (who knows) different quality...? Hows the RMA arranged on Chinese phones?

The quality is a lot better, I can tell you that. No touch screen issues, yellow tint, etc. I don't know if they have different factory but what I can way say is that its handled a lot better (hardware wise).

I don't think OnePlus will do anything. This will be treated as same as it did for the yellow tint case and call if off as an feature or as an part of the device's design (flawed design more or less).

That is so weird, usually the companies care about their exported products, especially to big markets like the USA.

I don't know why they do this. I had this exact same conversation with an forum user here. They care more about their own region rather then the international market perhaps.

I understand that china is a big market too, actually it is the biggest market :). However I have never heard that the iPhone in US is different than the ones in China or any other country. If the OPO is different in terms of supported RF bands, that is understandable. But different designs and less touch screen issues, that absurd.

Once people experience some inconvenience or something is broken you will hear them, but if everything is okay and they are happy you probably won't (people do not make a lot of new threads like: I am so happy with my OPO!). Because of this it may seem like everyone is having troubles with their OPO, while this is not the case. Even if you would count 1,000 people here on the forums having hardware problems, this is stil only 0,1% of 1,000,000 (sold) devices. That's not very shocking I think.

And this goes for everything, not just OPO [IMG]

    true. Its absurd.
Altho there MUST be an underlying thought about this. @Carl @Pete would know and decide for themselves if this is true, and if this is a good thing for the company. I wish i can talk on this level with the board of Oneplus and see their numbers and business strategy :p

    thanks for your insight @Rubii23

I say request an RMA. You've paid for the phone with the expectation that it's new and doesn't exhibit any defects.

The slight bend on the flash will no doubt reduce the value of the phone if you have plans on selling it in the future.

With that considered I certainly don't think it's unreasonable to request for a replacement.
