I got my OPO last Friday and it came with 33R. After I have read some threads about 38R, I decided to upgrade it. I Spent about 30 mins playing games on 38R and the battery went down 10℅. I then flashed the Franco kernel with the hope that battery life will get better but I think it seems like the Batter life on 33R was better. What did I do wrong here?!?

    Btw, I did wipe cache.

UPDATE: I am on 38R with Franco kernel right now and my phone is hot when I playing games (not heavy game like Real Racing). It is hotter than I experienced on 33R

I had that the other day, just for a day, I think it may have been 1 of 3 things
    1. I had changed to 3g and the device was search for 4g whilst on standby
    2. The software yellow band app had crashed
    3. I had turned on fastboot
There is one more thing that comes to mind that might be disturbing. That the so called stat collection tools on the device were at work, the last time I flashed a new rom I forgot to disable and firewall them.
It would be interesting to see if any of these states exist on your device

like @malidan said. you can slightly underclock your phone to say 1.7Ghz (won't have any issues with games) and get some more juice. Make sure to set WiFi optimization on if you leave your WiFi on all the time.

I dont know bud, I read some threads and people describe the batter life on 38r with Franco kernel like "amazing" "best" "huge improvement" but I dont think it's better than stock 33r

Battery life is all about usage, I would expect the ones reporting extended times are not power users.
