been using the OnePlus tv since Friday.

the only issues I faced are with the prime video app.

while playing hdr content, on some occasions the display seems to blow out with brightness. and at the very next scene, which is similar in lightning, the display is back to normal.

also, the audio lags behind the video a bit. experimental this the most while streaming grand tour.

on streaming the same content via fire stick 4k, the display works perfectly fine.

    anyone else experiencing these issues?

just look at the pic below

Hey... yes. It's a known issue. HDR and Dolby Vision processing is not optimized yet. OnePlus acknowledged this and is working on it. For time being turn off the Auto HDR in Picture< Video Format Settings.

Hi Venky61, if we turn off auto HDR, then can the colors look like washed out or look like SDR?

Yes bro... They are washed out if you turn off.

Hey came to know that there is an update for the Q1 too. Manually check the update. It should come soon.

turn off auto hdr and start the hdr content. then turn on hdr again. it will work perfectly.

but if you stop the video and start again the brightness issue will be back.

    I tried this today.

Thank you both of you @akhillad, @Venky61 for this info. Actually I am planning to buy Q1 model, hence asking to both of you. BTW do you think overall performance (specially picture quality) is worth for price? Future updates will solve software issues, but hardware will remain same for PQ. Have you tried KODI media player on this TV? If yes, review the kodi performance regarding playback. Thanks in advance.

Happy to help. The picture quality is great and at present the processing is what is creating a problem in watching HDR content but the updates will fix them. I have not tried Kodi but the playback from Plex was smooth. Also I have sent you more details on PM. Check that.
