    • Low battery backup
After 100% full charge my phone can be used only for like 8-9 hours.
I use very extensively, Always on phone(on Skype calls), 3G Video Calls
    • It gets heated up very soon
Any tweaks to configure the phone to get good battery backup (other than brightness, unwanted sound, unwanted apps... trust me i have disabled all these), and not get heated up.

Its been only 2 days i am using this phone (Received on Saturday i.e., 4th Jan 2015)

Also when i disconnect from a call (outgoing and incoming), for about 10-15 seconds, i ll not be able to make any calls. I can see the network bar on the notification is there is no signal at all and suddenly picks up again in that 10-15 secs. Then i can make calls.

I tried factory reset and manually searching for networks. This issue still persists.

    Guys suggest something...

3g video calls use a lot of battery
instead of skype have you tried any other app like hangouts ????
Instead of voip use regular voice calls it may help
    also call oneplus support no.
they may be able to help

skype and 3g just use your battery a lot
and also the phone has to run a lot of processes at the same time while you use them so maybe that's why that low battery life and heating up :(
and about the network issue contact one plus service center
it might be a software issue as well which might get fixed in the next update

Reason for Battery consumption due to skype and video calls are acceptable, but heating near the camera area, some what doesn't digest to me.

Earlier I used HTC 816 and usage was same, battery was not so good but never heated.

Can you share their customers care number for Indian users.

I have notice another weird thing in India Charger. I got mine last week but the charger has 150 v - 300 v, though it is 50 - 60 hz. does this mean my charger will not work in USA? where it is 110v.
    why is it not a standard like 100 v - 240 v?

You do know where the processor is,right?! Right there near the camera vicinity. And given the usage you mentioned, it won't do miracles for you, that is an acceptable drain when you use camera +network+ skype. So many processes running, so much of strain on your phone's processor! The backup [3 days]that's been marketed is when you keep you device "idle" the most.

has anyone tried to know how much the ram is being used in idle condition and what is the battery discharge rate in idle condition , probably that will give us an idea on why is it heating up, at times i do feel that the phone is packed with lot of stuff for the actual physical dimension of the phone

shadow fight has some bugs, like two/more copies of the game running in background, this happens when in game upgrade completes and notification pops up in the notification bar. so I play 1/2 fight at a time only. Games from good developers like gameloft never showed such heating problems, so it the developers of the games must be blamed, I think so :):)

Yet no response from Customer Care till now.
Phone is good, not doubt on that.
Some minor set backs(I can say) will disappoint me.

I know that's the processor's is placed there(near the camera), but as per the customer she says, up to 33 degrees is "OK". But i use very extensively, basically on calls as mentioned, now started gaming.

And as mentioned in my initial post about the network, its getting worse. i cannot make calls for 1-2 minutes when i hang up a previous call. (I can visually see that my Signal indicator, show no signal and after some time picks up signal.)
