Well, we're not talking about the software fully but industrial design as well and my comment was more specific to the design.

however you've highlighted one important aspect of the camera which is it's software but forgot to mention the Price in which we are supposed to prepare the comparison.

iPhone & Samsung are expensive but you feel Google Pixel doesn't fall in the comparison just because they've best software team in the world..

I think you're being harsh. What $200 phone has a better portrait mode than the OnePlus 7t? As far as the circular camera bump is concerned I'd say "looks are subjective".

I actually don't mind the circular design, do I think it looks better than the one on the 7t Pro, no but it isn't bad, plus I'm mainly looking at the gorgeous 90hz screen.

I'm sure OnePlus chose the circular style camera bump to make this phone more distinguishable.

$400 for pixel 3a. around $400 for pixel 2 and even 3 4 years old pixel 1 can take better photo. and this is end of 2019 and OnePlus camera sucks .
ps: i love all oneplus device and its features except camera.

For all the Pixel proponents, I offer the following link and quote comparing the 7T to the 4.

”At the end of 2019, and for most of 2020, you'd be better off with the OnePlus 7T than the Pixel 4 if you value screen size, performance, design, camera versatility, battery life, and value itself."

    https://www.businessinsider.com/google-pixel-4-vs-oneplus-7t-why-buy-oneplus-instead-2019-11

It also failed the bend test dramatically on Jerryrigeverything.

So, for $200 more: To many negatives to list. For positives, good camera software. You choose.

from my point of view, OnePlus design from the start used to be suble and simple. This includes both Software and hardware. in the fast changing smartphone world you need to add extra cameras (3 maybe 4). to be more practical, and to use less area with respect to number of camara's, the OnePlus old Design was more practical.

if you have 3 camara's straight line is great ( vertical or horizontal)
if you have 4 camara's, a square bump is more feasible in asthetic since the area is less wasted.
if you are going for 5, then circular (camara's placement in plus sign) and square (4 corners and 1 middle) are more compact.

So buy a standalone camera or the Pixel 4 XL since a camera is your main concern with a smartphone. As far as the overall performance and value, the 7t is way better than the Pixel 4 XL.

As far as camera is concerned I'd say they are about even, especially because we have a wide angle lens. If both phones had a wide angle lens I'd give the win to the Pixel but the 7t is not that far behind. Check reviews.

We understand your frustrations after buying a new device 7T which misses everything from flagship phones.

BTW does your phone support wireless charging, is it IP68 compliant or you just bought the phone because you'll be getting the faster Android releases for good six months [e]1f609[/e]

Believe it or not, you just bought the phone from the company whose phone design strategy is from OPPO.

Congratulations for buying Motorola C with latest spec.

Wireless charging is a joke....not needed. My 7T charges from 30% to full in 35 minutes. Goes all day and I end up with 30-40%. Without fast charging you probably need to set your phone on a charger every time you set it down. I'll take fast charging any day.

Funny, you know not much about grapes, sour or not, but as I've said, buy what you like, I did. Sweet grapes is the 7T.

I am honestly saying i don't like circular bump for camera setup. I like only vertical setup for cemera bump.......
