Without the alert slider, many things in my life would change.
It's one of the most important aspects of OnePlus phones. It's as important to me as my phone running OxygenOS.

OnePlus if u ever read this, please never remove this feature from your upcoming phones.

Until I use my iPhones (4s, 5s and SE), I was very convenient with a dedicated external physical button for silencing / Vibration mode. however, when I start using Samsung S7, my problem has started. When shifted to my one plus 7t, I am beyond words. One plus has taken care of such minute details which crowned them the best phone in the industry.

it's such a basic functionality but very impactful to my everyday use. sometimes I'm in different environments that require me to silence or ideally set my phone to vibrate easily. Even the texture of the button design works so that I could adjust the alert slider within my pocket or on a table without having to lift or look at my phone.

Yes this is a great option, it means you don't have to go into your phone to switch off the phone or volume, it's just the push of a switch, i would usually just leave it on vibrate [e]1f340[/e]

The ONE reason why I choose to change over my previous brand to One+; the ONE reason I would change if they take it Out!! Love and respect the Slider!!!

The only thing I find annoying is that when you put the slider up, the phone defaults to Silent Mode instead of Do Not Disturb (which allows way more customization options about what does and doesn't come through).

I know most people would like the slider to go to Silent Mode, I just hope they will add an option in the settings to change this. The slider is definitely a great feature.

The Alert Slider is one of my favorite feature.

But silent with vibration is also need. That one is missing.

It will be very useful if vibrate option for incoming call can add or remove.

i moved from samsung s7 to op7T, the slider was not my base requirement initially for choosing this phone. amoled screen was the minimum requirement.

the alert slider is just a wonderful and addictive feature, once you are used to it you just can't go back to live without it.
after i started using op7T, i literally feel s7 is so damn slow or any other phone for that matter, op7T never stops and never slows down. i feel like I'm working on the mbp.

I'm concerned about physical buttons since there is a high chance of getting damaged. i would suggest to have soft keys aswell for all 3 modes.

it's very useful. i'm very glad oneplus decided to swap the second position with a software update earlier on. it used to be do not disturb, and now it's vibrate which is far more convenient.

also, for whoever wrote this post, you're*:

omg. i have that issue with my volume button. I've had to install an app which lets me change the volume and includes a convenient toggle in quick settings.
the alert slider not functioning would be absolutely horrible however. if it gets stuck in one position, there's practically no way around it. probably an issue with the connection ribbon. very strange.
