literally MOST other roms are utilizing Cyanogenmod code. When everyone else is either too lazy or unskilled to reverse engineer code for a new device, cm always is always there to do it!

CM has a great community that is easy to use for any new user, all you have to do is post a question or search for a question and odds are that somebody already responded to that question. I've been using CM for some years now and I recommend it to anybody that would like to change there current UI, not to mention how easy it is to install!

My Galaxy s3 have Cyanogenmod 11 and it is now really fast as there is no bloatware and no touchwiz

I suggest reading their official article about them here: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/about Then do a search for comparisons. There are other ROMS however CyanogenMod is considered one of the best.

The benefits are that you can make phonecalls, send text messages, access the web. Watch videos and take pictures and videos, use apps, and all the social media stuff. Oh wait I can do that right now. Wake up people it is a frigging phone. Say no to the OP CULT

Woah woah... You can diss 1+ all you want...

but NOBODY messes with CyanogenMod. That's the rule. 11S is going to be the single greatest Android "skin" ever, and that's pretty much a fact. You need to learn your place boy-o.

I am also a little bit scared of CM.
I tried to Root my device ONCE...

Asus Transformer TFT101, promised with 4.1, but officially never gets it..
I bricked it (thanks to a lame who put tutorial on YouTube, using files, that were amounted to the video but were incomplete), and when it returned from servis with CM10, it was...
Just unstable...

I am looking forward to personal modification of the visual of everything (how is it actually done?) and the updates (If a newer Android will be released, for example 5.0, will CM adapt?), but the unstability scares me a lot...
