    Manu J., Jun 2, 2019 :
    Hey everyone,

We have a new Friendly User Testing (FUT) program for the TMO versions of the OnePlus 6T & OnePlus 7 Pro, and we'd like to invite all our community members using TMO version to join in and help us improving the builds before the OTA rollout.

This program will be run by our North American QT team.
We will be accepting 100 people into this FUT program, and the chosen users will need to meet certain requirements. The builds will be available as an OTA update and should not require clean flash or loss of data. However, as these are pre-release builds, while very unlikely, there's still a chance of data loss that you should be aware of.

In order to be eligible, you'll have to meet the below requirements:
    • Use a OnePlus 6T or 7 Pro TMO version
    • Sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with OnePlus to be part of this program
    • Be an active member of OnePlus Community
    • Be willing to constantly communicate and provide feedback to the OnePlus team
Meet those requirements? See yourself as a potential FUT tester helping the OnePlus community? Go ahead - apply right away and let's make OxygenOS better together.

    Never Settle

Excuse me, but you really expect people on those forums to still have not converted their units to international firmware?

Why does that matter? Not everyone is update hungry. I think this is neat.

If they're not upgrade hungry, then for who is the update meant?

To help the users who aren't savvy enough to convert their devices to receive updates quicker. I meant that more than the update hungry. The ones who converted mostly did it to switch to open beta/receive stable quicker than TMobile would push. But your comment has absolutely no value to the point of this thread. Someone will find this program useful.

The fact that OnePlus or T-Mobile is offering this program is really appreciated. I don't know any company that offers such opportunity (basically a closed beta). Not everyone will jump to global version as it most certainly voids warranty.

a lot of people actually, as much as I would like to receive updates faster, I like RCS messaging, and the risk/reward of converting is to unbalanced for me. I'm a different person though, I have a global 6t and a T-Mobile 6t, along with a T-Mobile 7 Pro

on top of that, input and feedback could help the process of making it standard for these devices to come with the same firmware as the global variants. There is only good things that can come from people's input and feedback into making a better device.

it's meant for people who want to remain on regular TMobile approved updates and are fine with the TMobile provided experience. not everyone wants to do the beta with bugs and not everyone wants to convert to the international version or doesn't feel comfortable doing so.

personally I'm excited that this has come to TMobile and they are trying to do something different not only with offering OnePlus, but with doing a "beta" and offering it's users more, in a safe environment.
