Is there a plan to transition Oxygen OS into a long term support model by the community afterwards? It would be nice if it continues to receive the security and feature update after a few years as Oneplus phone is quite durable and ahead of the curves so it tends to stay much longer.

I think you cannot disable it. However, if you use non-stock camera app, EIS will not be on I believe.

I want to thank the oneplus team for being open and doing this ama. Most companies aren't this open with their customers.

Why you indicate that the phone supports CDMA and when trying to use CDMA sim, it doesn't work?

Thank you very much OnePlus for giving us the opportunity to put forth our questions. And also thanks for #ANewView of #OnePlus5T. Kudos! to all the OnePlus team.

yes, no OEM ever released camera blobs, and when I saw the thread (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/lets-talk-about-our-camera-experience-on-custom-roms.477075/) I was proud to be part of the Oneplus Community, because Oneplus listens to their costumers. But if it's not possible, why create such a thread and ask for a thing which isn't possible?
Really, I have not a problem if it's not possible. I just don't understand why someone asks the users, but then ignores the answers?

This was done in order to ensure a pleasant user experience. Using the telephoto lens in Pro mode would not offer a visual advantage or result in higher-quality photos. It is only used for zoom and to create a depth profile when taking portraits pictures.

At present, the OnePlus 3 and 3T already support Manual mode, which offers many of the features that are offered in Pro mode. At a later date, we will release Pro Mode on the OnePlus 3 and 3T.

Thank you for the AMA and answering the question about a "better DAC", please could someone point me to information about what DAC is included with the phone? Thanks.
