Is the 5% student discount only eligible for online orders or can it be redeemed in stores, specifically the pop-up shop? As a student, I am eligible for the 5% student discount. I am planning on going to the Pop Up Shop in San Francisco on Monday.

Q: Will you consider releasing a new powerbank?

Why did you choose to make a phone that is aesthetically similar to others' most famous phones? As a OnePlus fan I expected something more from the 6, even just more colours apart from the usual ones. Imho the "never settle" philosophy wasn't followed this time.

Yes but the magnetic features probably won't. Because on the launch Carl Pei said that these functions are backwards compatible with OP5 and newer devices. The features: Pause/Play Music when you lock/unlock the headphones (put them together).

According to the unboxing videos that I watched, a silicon clear case is definitely included with OnePlus 6. And I'm pretty sure they would launch the other cases in a couple of days.

That's what's more commonly known as 'marketing bullshot'.

Supposedly it helps reduce reverberations, but whether it's noticeable or not only a listening test will tell.

I will post this during AMA, in case I don’t wake up by 7:30 Pacific Time (PT). But if not, please consider my following questions to the OnePlus™ team and the its CEO and co-founders.

    @Vito L. @Carl
    [IMG] [IMG]

    Dear OnePlus Team,

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly, thanks for the great products OnePlus™ team. OnePlus™ 6 and Wireless Bullets both sound dope. My questions are as follows (long for clarity of thoughts and opinion):

    1. Should I buy the OnePlus™ 6 or wait for the OnePlus™ 6T launching in November 2018 for a better upgrade value for the money?

I am excited after seeing the official OnePlus™ 6 and am willing to buy it…but I am not sure about it as I have a few concerns with which I hope Carl and the OnePlus™ team will help me out. (See the end.)

    2. What steps is OnePlus™ as a company specifically taking regarding Android’s security and possibly AI other than trying its best for faster Android updates from Google?

    3. Why is there no OnePlus™ Trade in program in United States?

    4. Why is there no OnePlus™ 6 64 GB variant in Silk White?

    5. Why does OnePlus™ not offer external storage like Samsung considering just one variant let’s say 128GB (which is enough considering the cloud movement in tech) ?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here’s why I am not sure about buying the OnePlus™ 6 just yet:

OnePlus™ 6 is indeed a great phone considering the price and specifications. But smartphones are much more than specifications these days and, Oxygen OS and Snapdragon 845 will indeed offer a great experience. After watching and reading almost all the popular One plus unboxings and hands-on reviews, I had almost taken the decision to buy this device. But considering the 6-month launch period gap of One Plus I am not sure if I should buy a OnePlus™ device just yet especially after watching a detailed analysis by a News channel (CNBC Awaaz) on Facebook which had some great points listed below:

    1. There have not been any “significant” innovations from previous device. I understand we saw improvements in Camera, have a better Snapdragon chipset, better design, and daily usage water resistance but there is nothing worth spending on this device if you already have a great phone say the OP 5T, especially when there is no trade-in program in certain countries.

    2. OnePlus™ 6T is expected to launch in November and might be a better deal if new innovations like the blazingly fast Face Unlock from OnePlus™ 5T from last year are introduced. Wireless fastest Charge (if possible), Camera optimizations, carrier friendliness across the world, Stereo Speakers might be some of the differentiators considering there is not much left in terms of Hardware.

    3. Google Pixel 3 in 3 invariants will launch in October this year and may set new standards of quality and optimizations for other Android phones. Obviously, it will be priced way higher than $529 but who knows… they might launch an inexpensive one and it might be worth it! We must admit that no one including iPhone and OnePlus™ can beat the Google Camera and the AI technology (that too with single lens) just yet. Period.

    4. Dual sim is great but one thing that OnePlus™ still lags is the lack of carrier friendliness in USA. The OnePlus™ 6 is not compatible with Sprint and Verizon in North America. Almost all flagships give the users flexibility to choose between carriers. Motorola even does that with their budget devices like the Moto-G series (fun fact G series is IP certified and cheaper than OP6).
