So I just went to grab my phone to check the time and its completely dead. Nothing at all. I've tried plugging it into the charger and still nothing. It also won't show up on my laptop when I plug it in so I don't think its just a screen loss issue. I hadn't dropped it etc previously.

    Any clues? :(

When this happened to mine I had to leave it alone for a couple days until the battery completely died. It was like it had to reset. None of the "fixes" found in the forum did anything. Good luck. Hope you have a backup phone.

Please try the following steps. They may help you out.

    1. let your phone rest for 12 hours (do not charge)

    2. Charge with the official charger and usb for 6hrs

    3. After 6hrs disconnect then reconnect your phone to the charger, a low battery screen should appear

    4. Do not attempt to boot just let it charge for 1 more hour

    5. After 1 hour, your device should be ready to boot and power-on.

just hold the power button for 20 seconds.

its probably just a soft crash, where it's not actually off, but no inputs prespond.

my friends did the same and he had it all packaged up for Rma when I got it working in 20 seconds.

    Hello friend,

Hi! In many cases, we've found that a dead battery is the cause – before trying anything else, make sure to charge your One!

Power cycle the One by holding the Power button for 20 seconds 5 times.

Attempt to start the phone by holding down the Power button along with the Volume down button to start recovery mode and performing a factory reset.

If these do not solve your problem, please submit a support ticket on our page (https://oneplus.net/support/ticket/submit) and we'll help you further.

    Thanks
