Thank you @Manu J. for this announcement :) which, I hope, will allow developers to make the OnePlus 8 series even better and more enjoyable ;), as they made the old versions excellent, despite everything...

    Well done OnePlus.

I tried a few custom roms on my OnePlus 6, and trust me when I say this, NO rom was as snappy as Oxygen os! They had some or the other issues. I just switched back to oos, and my device just runs like a cheetah! I'll switch to custom roms again when OnePlus completely stops giving updates for the OnePlus 6.

Hi everyone don't you guys feel like OnePlus is skipping out on making their phones faster in update. From a geak standpoint I strive to have the fastest kernel update on my phone.wouldn't it be great if the new kernel updates that come out are added to this phone every time a new update comes out it will make the experience smoother and faster and battery life will improve.so shouldn't we force OnePlus 2 update the kernel when a new update comes out cuz they stay at the same kernel version as when it comes out of the box. So why don't we band together to have them update it with out having to jalbrake the phone to get it. It would be grate and make them more money.

well apparently they still have a major problem with battery life and overheating it's horrendous and I do normal use I don't do video shooting photographs aren't like that I turn on the phone will leave it on and it does not even last 5-6 hours and it's always overheating and always supposedly turning off hotspot flashlight and screen ambient control which is I don't use hotspot how to use flashlight and turning off auto sensing for the screen so you can see it if it's day or night or whatever the lighting condition is is not a good choice and neither is turning off hotspot if someone's using it if someone turns on hotspot is because they need it I don't want it turned off so OnePlus needs to fix their battery longevity problem and the heating problem. this means they're going to have to replace everyone's phone if they can't do it through software weather Channel warranty or not because that is considered a manufacturer defect. if they say it's not a manufacturing defect or design defect the line because it happens to all their phones so that means is a defective design or problem that they need to fix what is in warranty or not they should own up to it especially for those who pay premium price for the premium phones and take care of their consumer base.
