I need to restart my phone for me to be able to use it again. Also, sometimes there is a glitch whenever you unlock the phone. Not to mention that the screen rotates out of nowhere...
drl431 , via OnePlus 6 , May 5, 2022 : Hi, it's possible that after a major update you would need to do a factory reset. Back up your data (except the apps) to the cloud or a pc first.
A1652126904108 , May 9, 2022 : Second this keyboard issue. It's across all apps including whatsapp. It's not all the time, usually after the phone has been running for a couple of hours at least. I press on the bar to type and the keyboard just does not appear. Factory resets are incredibly impractical for most people. This is an issue Oneplus needs to be aware of and resolve.
A1652126904108 , May 9, 2022 : Also if anyone from OnePlus actually reads these - the issue is only temporarily resolved after restarting the phone, but it has recurred several times since the upgrade.

jimdunleavy , May 19, 2022 : Exactly the same here on my oneplus8t, ever since the update when it's been on for several hours I can't get to the keyboard, have to restart to get it back. When is the fix coming?
Q1633730426089 , May 20, 2022 : Same problem here with my OP9. I'm having this issue for about a year now, with Gboard and Swiftkey aswell. I have to force stop both apps every time I get this problem. So frustrating, I've been experimenting with settings, but I couldn't find any permanent solution either. If this situation continues with no official response, added to the many other bugs that the ui has, this will probably be my first and last Oneplus phone.
