Ok, I didn't know where to put this so I chose off-topic just to be safe. I haven't been on the OP blog since I exclusively use the forums, but I saw something that made my jaw drop. This is what I found in the OP Blog.

I have been trying to fix screen mirroring on the OnePlus One ever since I posted the issue back in July here: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-263

It still hasn't been fixed, but I blame Google for that and no one else.

So the only way the I know that the OPO can mirror is via chromecast which used to work on early versions, but not anymore. If anyone who was at the live event in London can chime in, please do so, I want to know if OnePlus was using an earlier OTA update or if it was done by other means. Thanks guys.

P.S. This issue is really important to me because I would love to cast my screen onto my 50" tv. It worked for a couple of days until a problem with Google services forced it to stop. I'm not interested in root methods, I just want a future OTA to fix this bug. The guys at Cyanogen are trying to contact Google, but then again it's Google.

Here's an example, the same guy posted in the description that it stopped working as well.

Edit: The Chromecast App got an update which allows you to mirror your entire phone's screen, it's not baked into the rom but it works well. This works for all devices running 4.4 kitkat and up, Jellybean and below cannot take advantage of this feature despite the updated app.

Thanks, but this has not been answered by anyone and it has to do with OnePlus not telling us what's going on.

Not a very good way since I'm not asking how long is my OPO shipping or if I want an invite. ;)

I have been very vigilant since this is one of the coolest features the OPO currently doesn't have, but it should.

Brett also, but it's hit or miss since the majority of the people I've talk to who still can't. You're very lucky.

Miracast doesn't work very well, and the latency via chromecast is almost negligible which means good for gaming and videos. Thank you for sharing this though.

So there's almost no latency in Chromecast?

Yes, it worked flawlessly until the software bug decided to mess everything up.

I was thinking of buying the Chromecast but after this problem came out I didn't really consider.

I will buy it after a software fix is in.

That's like the only shit I intend to do with Chromecast.
