Last update messed up the phone via OnePlus 8T Aquamarine Green

Last update totally messed up my phone. Not just one app, but the entire thing is lagging so bad almost to the point making it not usable, as this stutter, flickering & crashing apps is so annoying. Is anyone else facing same issues?

lot's of topics open already describing this issue ...
Also as unified thread so what´s the purpose of creating another duplicate topic?

it sounds daft but just try it worked for me.

Simply go into you camera and record a short video about 20seconds.
Then watch it back in your gallery.
That's it and the lag should be gone.
I've just done it and my phone is working perfectly now 😊

Or record an audio clip from recorder app and play back this is also one solution to it 🥳

One I'm not omniscient, second I don't want any crappy update on a $750 phone because I value my money. You must be OnePlus staff, aren't you?

Nothing to do with oneplus but being a forum user here.
You don't need to know everything - thats the reason for some simple forum tipps given in the let´s get started section.

    - read the forum rules.
    - use the search function to find active topics of interest
    - browse the forum for the same reason

the topic about the update was already pinned so might have been a chance to find it if someone would even bother to read some lines of text.
All this steps have nothing to do with the price of your device or how you use to spend your money.

Hope the hotfix solved the problem - and I wonder myself why oneplus did not stop the rollout of an update that instant bug reports and problem reports even before the official anouncement of the new update.

Don't know why OnePlus is not fixing the issue. Now my phone heats up too which was not happening earlier. Don't know if they want their name flogged into the ground or what...
Is it ok to download these updates from third party apps?

Agree but this is also the point of this forum, to help each other when issues arise.

    Oh, I'm on

I'll refrain from updating. Until the build is stable.

Having such issue on a hardware like this is not acceptable.

Mine was not installing at all the update from the device. It got stuck into recovery mode and I had to factory reset. With the full update, this didn't happen amd most of the functions work fine.
