ah thanks for clarification...
Wow..your sense of using a product is totally different..which is not a bad thing but certainly different then others. Like Applocker meant for the peoples who are not immediate family members but can ask for your phone. And features which you are categorized as overkill actually very useful to peoples like me..who like to be a little bit organized. Well its purely your choice nobody force you to change your OS or your perspective..its your wish. Peace.
Yup. Kind of ignoring.
I found a pretty serious fault today. Headphones register, but no sound (yes I tried latest OOS firmware). I'm leaving LOS this afternoon. I'll try RR next, then back to OOS if desired. I'm guessing a full purge and reinstall of OOS will fix the issue I had (couldn't dial numbers, or add numbers to contacts. First number typed crashed the phone/contacts app).
I'M BACK ON OOS ...
Historically LineageOS and ResurrectionRemix have been magical for me. Not so much on the 5T. OOS is still the best. Everything just works, even though there's extra software (~Community: but latest Beta lets you uninstall this...yay) and lack of some features that I really like from the others. But, alas, it is solid / fast / feature-rich-enough.
Have you tried Dirty Unicorns?
I was only on OOS for long enough to flick the bootloader unlock switch and haven't been off DU since.
No issues at all...
Never even heard of it . Link?
A few questions about Dirty Unicorns
- do word headphones work?
- face unlock?
- is there a privacy guard feature (like LOS)?
Their is no perfect rom for u to try more than the original. only curious people and tech enthusiastic loner just want to do something stupid with their phone. one plus should be strickly put 15 day to unlock the phone like xiaomi does.
- Wired & Bluetooth headphones work.
- Face unlock - Trusted face smart lock works.
- No privacy guard but app permissions is fairly comprehensive.
You need to be decrypted to flash DU on the 5T so backup everything you want to keep from internal storage and data before formatting the data partition via twrp (or fastboot).
Your personal opinion!
If you read the forums, you'll find hundreds of people that aren't happy with the rom provided by OnePlus.
It's sad that you're not curious enough to see if there are better options available (and you don't have to be a tech enthusiast).
12.5 is their last update based on Oreo, just in case you didn't know.
Yep, but there'll still be monthly security update releases until DU Pie is ready.
Than u may have a bad taste of oxygen os.
says the guy trolling a phone forum.
If you don't try other roms, you have nothing to compare OOS with.
OOS is OK, but there are better roms out there for the 5T.
