A European retailer has published the prices of the 8 series ahead of the launch. The prices indicate the biggest jump yet:

    OnePlus 8 w/ 8GB RAM, 128GB storage: €719/729/ (roughly 59200 rupees)

    OnePlus 8 w/ 12GB RAM, 256GB storage: €819/829 (roughly 67500 rupees)

    OnePlus 8 Pro w/ 8GB RAM, 128GB storage: €919/929 (75760 rupees)

    OnePlus 8 Pro w/ 12GB RAM, 256GB storage: €1,009/1019 (83180 rupees)

The price increase is significantly more than most people expected. This is going to be a tough sell for OnePlus.

The pricing on those leaks is ridiculous considering what they were one generation ago. No, 5G is not worth these types of prices. And nothing about the phones themselves have shown to be worth it either.

I will cherish what OnePlus did with the 7 Pro as it might be the only OnePlus phone I ever buy.

I'm with you on that one dude. If these prices are correct. I'm not getting any of the OnePlus 8 really think it'll be the beginning of the end for OnePlus. If I was going to be awonsing 900 I'd be going for Samsung or Huawei or even apple. I'm pretty sure most people would do the same. OnePlus is still a relatively small name at the moment. I really hope the romour isn't true. Let's hope bud

With the launch date so close, something tells me these prices are close to final. If so, OnePlus are in serious trouble. They are making the same mistakes that HTC made and it didn't end well for HTC. There is a general feeling they're abandoning their loyal customers and going after affluent buyers. Good luck to OnePlus because they're going to need plenty of it if they want to sell plenty of phones especially in the current global situation.

Def true, OnePlus has rode too hard to being that 'flagship killer' brand and now trying to position itself as a 'premium' brand just flies in the face of their fans. OnePlus used to be good with that value proposition. Now it seems they think users should pay a premium for the phones, which doesn't make sense when they have no ecosystem or brand experience like other premium OEMs.

Exactly! Personally I don't think OnePlus have a big enough reputation in the UK, or us for example to be able to sell phones at such a high price. I mentioned earlier that if these rumours are true. I'll buy a more established brand like Samsung or apple. You have to consider resale value too. Im more than certain. People won't buy the OnePlus 8 Pro at that price. I mean you're getting into Samsung, Huawei and apple flagship terror tory. You'll be able to buy a note 10 plus at that price. They're just not established enough yet to get away with this. That is if this rumour is true. Let's see, I really hope not.

Just remembering to Oneplus that both 7 Pro and 7t Pro were elected as best phones as:
    flagship specs at honest price

now, sadly specs are not top, only the price.... ups i forgot 8 will have smaller display compared to 7/7t
