I'm not even sure I want to pay that much for the pro model.tbis year. Usually I can't wait. But I'm a little dubious this year. Can't make my mid up. For a little extra you can get the s20 plus or ultra or iPhone 11 Pro max. Umm decisions!!

if you're a true fan and lover of the OnePlus family you'll understand that we don't really switch up because of price. we stick with the OnePlus because of the way they treat their customer and how they actually listen to their community. I've been with this phone since 2014 and honestly the simplicity and the specs are just what I need tbh. that's why we don't complain. but you have your opinion and point of view, so I respect that.

if you want samsung go for qualcom version never exyno is crap, also the camera in s20 lineup has lens flare, for example take a picture at night at a light you will see it

iphone good camera but limited software

also oppo find x2 pro is a beast but small battery for 120hz and qhd

oneplus 8 pro we will have to wait to see real battery if it's 4500 or higher is a go

maybe we should wait for oneplus 8t pro bigger battery and maybe a motorized pop up camera

Good points. However, OnePlus' original proposition was to provide flagship features for less. With the 8 series and proposed pricing, they are moving away from that proposition by targeting affluent buyers who buy iPhones, Galaxy Notes etc. I suspect that the complaints will come in thick and fast when the prices become official. Granted, each new series of phones comes with a higher price tag but there is a point when consumers say enough is enough and I think this is what will happen with the 8.

The point about the Exynos chips is very valid. Samsung only fit Snapdragon chips in handsets they sell in the USA so we end up with Exynos chips which have been proven to be worse performers.

OnePlus really need to deliver something very special to justify the price increase. One area is the camera and stock camera software. There's no acceptance for just 'good enough' - it must match or exceed other new flagships. I'll be amazed if OnePlus pull it off as their attempts with the 7 and 7T series have shown how bad they are and refuse to listen to customer feedback claiming they can't reproduce the issues that customers have experienced.

As for an 8T Pro, I wouldn't even want to think about the cost for such a handset.
