    Hi,

I was just wondering if there is somebody in this community that can recommend a browser that would consume significantly less battery than google chrome. It is another phone that has chrome higher usage than screen sometimes and I did some research and I'm not the only one :D

My dream browser should also be safe. I encountered recommendation for https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.barebones&hl=pl but I will be grateful for some input :)

PS. If a thread similiar to mine exist, don't hesitate to merge mine with the original, because search engine is giving me error in op 5t section all the time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be giving this a look-see for sure :)

Edit: I recommend X-browser (formerly via browser but support stopped for via)

    Thank for your suggestions :)

I am very happy with my battery life, but if there is a way to improve it, why not? ;)

I am testing google chrome beta now, hoping for better optimization, but if it doesn't work I will try all of your recommendations :)

Do you use the one from the play store? If you get it from fdroid it has all the features enabled that you would normally have to pay for if you have the play store version.

Ahh... Wish I'd known about that a year or two ago... I've got the paid version through the play store.

    That's a good heads-up for others though!

I love Lighting browser. Ad blocking, fast and lightweight.

Hey, I wanted to help you out here. One of the most powerful competitors to googles chrome browser is Brave Browser. You can actually download it on the Play Store and it includes a plethora of feature like safe browsing and adblock.

Agreed, it's a cracking browser and the ad blocking is the best I've seen outside of adaway. I love the that you can swipe left/right to pull up your bookmarks.
