Lets Confirm Who Has the Ghost Touch Issue

I can confirm no ghost touches after updating to 9.5.7. Yay!

Used Oxygen Updater to update. Apart from advantage of getting it sooner than standard OTA I am also
able to perform incremental update even if my bootloader is unlocked (standard OTA requires Full update if BL unlock is detected). Of course, this works provided you haven't done any modifications to the boot and system partitions.

I was just waiting for the ghost touch problem to be fixed. It seems that the problems has been fixed by the new update. So, should I buy this phone now without any concern or wait a bit more?

    Thanks.

I bought it and not regretted. Till today I haven't done any updates, I am on 9.5.1 with no ghost touch issues. I was waiting till an update-fix to be released in order to update.

I had the same dilemma with you before buying the phone but now I can totally suggest you buy the device, it's a piece of art!

someone was saying that there was an issue with the top part of the screen being unresponsive. I wonder if that was rectified along with this firmware update.

Just ordered my OP7 Pro today after this update. My Oneplus 2 is now showing signs of ageing and needs to be retired I guess. I hope this patch is thorough. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I find it rather confusing because in settings Model lists GM1913 but OxygenOS lists the version and then .GM21BA Bought it in the EU - so it should be the EU version. I'm still on 9.5.5 with no update available - not even 9.5.6..

I put him and his self rightous baby fingers in it's place and told him that if a fix comes in a timely manner can I mock him for his lack of patience. You can't make everyone happy and he/ was of those people.

9.5.5.GM21BA is the actual build, 9.5.7 will be rolled out in the next days.
This rollout is - as always - staggered.
9.5.6 does not exist for EU OTA.
    So: don't worry!

BTW: I NEVER had this ghost touch issue on my 7 Pro ...

Perfect, thanks! So there is a difference between GM1913 as Model lists and the suffix of the software version GM21BA?

This is rather strange. The proximity sensor should kick in if the device is in pocket and therefore prevent any screen interactions (taps). It would be interesting to know if phantom / ghost taps can still get activated if the screen is off. Did you have by any chance google music controls on lock screen? If that's the case, there might be a possibility of phantom taps.

I would suggest you start a separate thread on this topic. It would get more attention from the community and fellow users experiencing the same problem can also share their experiences.
