    Thanks for the tag SRD.
    It's a great thread @CosmicPaladin
As with everything we do for the first time, starting running is complicated and you need to do it carefully. I would just add, for those who have not been exercising for a long time, first consult a doctor and explain that want to start training, and ask for exams, only then begin your training. I do some races but what I train most is Aikido. Another thing I would like to say is that there are no ages to start practicing! Impossible is nothing!

Talk to your doc. He knows it best,...
Such plans are too individual for everyone

As @Dresa91 already answered you, it is best to seek the help of a professional to be able to accompany you. And remember stay focus!

Started to jog seriously last year in June just after confinement, but suffering of knee pain since December due to hiking sessions. I am eager to restart very soon. My longest run is 12km and I did had my first trail competition last year. What really helped me with running and hiking is Shaun T's T25 workouts since I was a newbie runner. Of course, I have my trail shoes and running shoes, like Scott Supertrac 2.0, Adidas Terrex, Asics Gel Lahar 5 and Asics Gel Quantum 180 5. If someone can give some advice on how to avoid knee pain plz. I am on treatment and I do not want to have this bad experience again when I start running/hiking again.
