Thanks for addressing Carl, Other brands have the same method and it is a common thing in phone industry.

    But still be collected?

What about OPPO and BKK Electronics? has ANY data left OnePlus or just kept "in the father company" which would still not be a "third party" ...

That is ****** up, and I bet illegal...

Again, OPPO, BKK Electronics? those are third parties too? Not responding to this will make me understand they are NOT third parties to OP meaning data HAS been shared with third parties. Please respond.

Intentions don't make things less illegal...

@Carl I want ALL my data deleted from any OnePlus or WHATEVER place it is stored. I never gave consent to ANY data being collected.

What will you do with phone numbers. By the way, you already have our numbers. What's the point for existing users :(

I think would be pertinent to give link on your post, that way we can get all the info from one single place

I am sure all users including early supporters want access to the data which OnePlus has been phishing illegally without our consent and want it permanently DELETED.

I was kinda expecting something along the lines of "by the end of October, all OnePlus phones running OxygenOS will have a prompt in the setup wizard that asks users if they want to join our user experience program AND a second prompt/option to disable collection all of device information".

"Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is looking."

What's the word for *arguably* doing a slightly better thing, but only after all other possibilities have been exhausted and you're on the hot seat?

Don't really know how to take the response. Happy but also, why in the first place? I'm fine about the user experience program, however, the phone numbers and mac address...... hmmmm.

I'd like to know why they were collecting this in the first place, providing better after sales support seems a little flaky.

@Carl, afaik, collecting IMEI, phone numbers and MacAddress (without user information and consentement) is illegal. Conforming to French Laws, I'm asking for a (documented and official) way to:
1- have access to my personal information, stored on your (secure?) servers.
2- have the ability to delete all or any of them.

Being 'clear' and 'transparent' afterwards doesn't make you 'clean' and 'innocent'.
You said nothing about the usage you or BKK are having with them. 'Support' and 'Product Enhancements' are just insulting excuses.

Well since 1+ is situated in China your French laws didn't mean anything and you won't stop them collecting your data :D
