I agree with op. I've had a couple of phones with wireless charging, and it's useless. Charge rate is low, it generates heat (bad for the battery) and for my use at least there's no real benefit under those conditions. I would much rather just plug in a cable and have a charge rate of 4A.

Sorry folks but I suffer from arthritis and working with plugging in USB cables every day is very uncomfortable. Wireless charging on my Lumia has been a real godsend. Please include both. We live in the land of Choice and Convenience after all. Half-and-half in my coffee, 2% on my cereal. And add a few dollars to the price.

    20 minutes dash charge.

    Who cares about wireless charging.

The only way i think it would be a use of me.
Is on my nighstand. Charging overnight.
Hey but wait. 20 minutes with cable and less electronic stuff around my head.

Sign me up for 100% dash charge.

Wireless charging is beyond stupid at the moment, it is no where near the speed of dash charge...

Making matters worse your phone has to be stationary for best performance...

By removing headphone jack and USB c port phones can become fully water proof, it might take some more time, but not now so stick with what you are doing and learn from others mistake [e]1f601[/e]

For wireless charging to work, the phone needs to be of Glass. it would make the phone more prone to breaking.

While I wouldn't dispute that Dash Charging is superior quantitatively, it's missing the use case of wireless charging, and the two aren't mutually exclusive.

The single feature I wish I had on my OP devices to date is wireless charging for overnight only. The charge rate isn't that important as I sleep for 6-8 hours, and the convenience of being able to pick up the phone off a dock and set it back down anywhere on it is supremely elegant. Dash Charging isn't required overnight, nor is high power transfer.

Please include it in the OP6!!!

wireless charging are only useful/important when we don't have a adapter and cable with us like in the airport. this is very seldom.
I'm not against wireless charging but they are not quite useful on ordinary days.

Great Post, thank you very much.
I've come to Oneplus from Nexus 5 so have had wireless charging for years. It is definitely convenient at bedtime just needing to place phone on the pad but I have to say I much prefer Dash charging. Simply no it on charge whilst having morning shower and I'm good for the day. I love its speed and convenience.
Something else to bear in mind is that the overall life of the battery is degraded by continuing to charge when already at 100%. (Battery should always be charging or discharging to get maximum battery life.) This, for me anyway, makes Dash charging infinitely preferable to wireless.
