I don't need this, I don't want this. I need a way to get rid of it ASAP.

It's been really helpful for me to focus on my studies. Otherwise I used to check my phone every 10 minutes and start playing game or browse through social media for another half an hour.

If this is something all OnePlus phones will have in the future with no way to uninstall, then my next phone will not be a OnePlus. I will Never Settle for this.

    Last OnePlus for me.
I can root whatever phone I have to get rid of these "must-have" battery eating apps.
Bought 1+ because it didn't have this bloatware problem but not anymore.

I appreciate the thought and motivation behind zen mode. That said, I would hope that OnePlus could appreciate that a smartphone is a work and communications tool. To be most useful, that tool should be configurable to minimize unwanted distractions and interruptions. When that can't be done (and based on the feedback on this forum and other Android forums, zen mode is unwanted by many), the tool becomes less effective.

Personally, I despise zen mode, and would urge OnePlus to allow easy and complete removal of the functionality. Failing that, I'd ask for an easy way for a non-technical user to completely disable it. (I have disabled zen mode on my OnePlus 5 using the adb hack. If I couldn't, I would have disposed of the device and purchased a Pixel.)

Bottom line: without a 'non-hack' removal or a complete disable option, zen mode is all the motivation that I need to make sure that my next phone is not from OnePlus.

@MaggieOuyang There are at least three separate threads on this forum alone about ways to disable/delete Zen Mode, and plenty more elsewhere. No one who HAS Zen Mode LIKES Zen Mode; it's ridiculous that there's no way to uninstall it or at least turn it off. It's a battery drain, not to mention incredibly condescending. Adults do not need to be babysat about their phone usage, especially those who use it as a navigation/medical device. Zen Mode is great in theory, but you've completely botched the execution. Please give us a way to uninstall this unwanted app.

Is there a way to schedule the Zen mode similar to alarm clock. Basically i do not want to use mobile 1 hour before going to bed and 1 hr after wakeup in the morning. Lets say 10pm-11pm auto zen mode scheduled and 6am - 7am auto zen mode scheduled. This way i dont touch mobile in these hours which is good for my eyes and state of mind.

    Reached the 10k mark ✅

is there a thread where we could share our milestones or is this the one itself?
or maybe is there a whatsapp is telegram group or a fb page?
where we could motivate eachother everyday?

Disablement should be enabled and it's not. I have absolutely no use for Zen Mode because I don't use my phone in an unhealthy way. I'm very easily able to walk away from it. Stop removing options and forcing people to use things they don't need. All we ask for is the OPTION to not use it.

Lots of information here but unless I'm missing something this OS is awfull I'm regards to the app notifications even with Zen mode off. I miss so much when the phone is static it's somewhat dangerous. Do not get my push notices from my security systems until it wakes up. Terrible!

There's a name for software planted on a user's device without their consent, and which takes away the user's control over the device. It's called malware. As far as I'm concerned, without the option to uninstall it, Zen Mode is a virus.

When I need a break from my phone, I use the power button. It's never failed me yet.
