    I don't see that as a problem.

They cannot use first class components and invest heavily in R&D then sell it cheaply.

I don't work for free and I don't expect them to.

If they sell it for a nice profit, good for them. Healthy profitable companies provide good paying jobs.

it doesn't hurt to look at the phone when they unveil it, no one will have the oneplus one consumer model when LG unveils their lgG3.

The problem for me, I will never pay $700 for a cell phone. $400 OK, but not $700. I don't ask to Samsung or LG to give me a phone.

Anyway within 12 months that phone will be obsolete for the majority of geeks. Then I will purchase it at $400. ;) Same thing I do with my Samsung S4 that lots of people pay one year before over $700.

Yes, the profits are good for theses companies. And they do lots of profits when a phone like the S4 is purchase by people like me over one year after his release when all the R&D and the marketing costs are already paid.

This is $400 of PURE PROFIT for Samsung and $300 of PURE PROFIT for me.

This phone suddenly becomes my new target.
From June onwards 2k display is the benchmark for all phones...

Oh I do understand your point and I don't disagree. My prior post was simply saying that it wasn't a "problem".

Cost, cost, cost + do I need such a thing on a phone. At least that's how I'm justifying myself to stay way from it.

I'm fully ready and eager to buy the G3 while I await the elusive OPO invite.

Usually LG ships immediately after announcing. Last year my G2 arrived only two days after the announcement.

If the G3 is built as well as my fast, stable and reliable as my G2, this will be one very outstanding new phone.

Why? You do have a good chance winning an invite.^^ It's around 0,01% or maybe less.... So slightly better then the lottery. Just kidding

Yeah, I am pretty stoked to try out the G3 in stores. The screen to size ratio seems amazing

I like design but from my experience with LG from the past, but always had some issues with tone volume in ringing, speakers and similar and as I read around they still did not solve that.

G3 is definitely sweet but pricy, I want it but my wallet objected. :(

Undoubtedly the LG G3 is a nice looking phone. Hopefully it is not $650+ off contract.
