The LG G4 doesn't have a fingerprint scanner and tends to lag from what I've heard. While the 1+2 doesn't have a removable battery or expandable storage, I will never need more than 64gb and I have never done and on-the-go battery swap with my Galaxy S4. Thus lacking that functionality isn't that big of a deal for me. When you put all of that together wit the price point of the 1+2 vs the G4, with my limited budget, the 1+2 wins out by far.

Thanks for the recommendation, just watched the video. The Snapdragon 808 just has less cores than the 810. There isn't anything more efficient about it. If you just manage the cores on the 810 better to control heat then it's a much better SoC (Which OnePlus has promised to deliver... we shall see). AnTuTu is not that reliable a benchmark. It is much easier to see what's going on if you compare Geekbench/GFXBench Scores. Geekbench scores are around the same while GFXBench is highly in favor of the Snapdragon 810 owing to the Adreno 430. Yes, obviously with severe throttling, optimal performance no longer matters, but my point is that there is nothing about the Snapdragon 808 that makes it less heat-prone other than the fact that it is a worse SoC. If you just disable two of the high-end cores on the S810, it will perform better than the S808 hands-down. So I would expect that OnePlus did what it takes to manage the heat given the controversy, and they claim as much at the moment.

Correct, posted by Android Authority. I should've mentioned it's a "Quick Look" not a technical full review.

I like it that the OPT has better brightness and viewing angels. When you use a phone on a golf course in the afternoon, the value of this apparent.
