Hey everyone! We’re Schafer (@Schafer), Eunes (@Eunes), and Alex (@alexhpeterson); three Community Brand Ambassadors who are also college students! We’re taking this post today to show you why the 7 Pro is a great purchase for those in college, and how you can use it to make your college experience smoother. We’ll be talking about the new software Zen Mode, Parking Location Service, Screen Recorder, and Reading Mode, as well as how they each come together in the OnePlus 7 Pro for a smooth software experience.

    Zen Mode
One of the newest software additions with the 7 Pro is Zen Mode. It allows you to easily put distractions on hold and focus on work or studying for 20 minutes at a time. This is helpful when trying to study for exams, finish homework, or when you can’t stop checking your phone. It is also useful when you find yourself mindlessly scrolling through social media instead of getting sleep for that 8 AM lecture tomorrow. This feature can’t be turned off once it has started which helps when you want to be focusing on the more important things in life.

    Screen Recorder
Sometimes being able to see things over can make problems easier to understand. For those that are visual learners, the new Screen Recorder could be a great addition for when you have an online class and you want to save how your professor may have gone around solving a problem for future reference. Screen recordings can also help when showing how a process is done or teach using apps on your device. Need to show your family member back home how to change the settings on their phone? With Screen Recorder you’re practically in the room with them!

    Reading Mode
Not new to the OnePlus 7 Pro, Reading Mode has been available on previous OnePlus devices. This does not discount the practicality of the feature for students though. Reading Mode makes the screen monochrome for less strain on the eyes when reading documents, making them look more like paper than the phone screen. This feature paired with the large screen size on the 7 Pro means it is easier than ever to read documents or edit papers on the go or between classes.

    Parking Location Service
Commuting to the university campus can be a hassle. Quickly finding a place to park and getting to class on time means you might forget the exact location where you parked your car. After a busy day of class, no one wants to be wandering through a parking lot. The Parking Location conveniently stores your spot to find it later. This is also helpful during sporting events when thousands of people come out to support your team and completely fill up the lot making it extremely difficult to remember where you parked. With a busy class schedule, the last thing you need to stress about is where your car is parked.

    Student Discount
For most students, money can be tight. Luckily, OnePlus offers a student discount! Students get 10% off accessory or gear purchases, and 5% off a device purchase, so you can get your 7 Pro paired with a slick backpack without breaking the bank.

With all these enhanced software features, the OnePlus 7 Pro has made our college experiences even smoother, and we’re sure it will for you too. Are you a student considering the OnePlus 7 Pro, or do you have one already? Let us know your favorite feature and your thoughts in the thread below!

Agreed! And it's built it right into the native camera which is the coolest part. I was always jealous of some of my friends that had iPhones and could scan QR codes right from their camera.

I'm sure that's exactly what the majority of users who have been demanding a screen recorder had in mind.

Only OnePlus 7 Pro can help students for time being. The ones with the older phones are expected to screw a couple of semesters before those "revolutionizing features" are delivered.

Honestly, I think it'll be worth the wait. Zen Mode is a feature I use regularly in and out of school.

Why 20 mins? Make it 24hrs. Or give us options to customise as per our needs. 20 mins are just... not enough.

If you're a student, take a look at Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it's a much better device for school than the OP7.
First of all Samsung give you $450 off, not the pathetic 5% that Oneplus give you. Then when it comes to note taking, the Note 9 is unrivaled by any other phones.
.Take notes with the stylus and the phone automatically convert it to text.
.Take a note and PIN it to your always on display.
.Use the S-Pen as a remote so you don't have to bring out your phone in class, S-Pen can be program to start recording a lecture without you touching your phone.
.Not only can you categorized your notes, you can attached a picture, or even a voice recording of a lecture with your note.
. wrote a phone number down on your note? tap it and it will launch your phone app. Wrote a Math equation down? tap it and it will solve that equation.
. Need to quickly translate some text from Spanish to English? Use your stylus and highlight the text, it will give you the translation on the fly.
    and.... a lot more....

Samsung phones with lots of bells and whistles but their software is poorly optimized. In less than 6 months you will throw the phone because you will get so frustrated with their slowest software experience.

If you can’t stop checking your device you probably have some kind of disorder and you need a psychiatrist not the Zen mode or 7 Pro.
Damn... did you really had to burst their bubble?
