    Hello

Can anyone help me with live captions which keep appearing in videos and some media apps. It appears as a bar across the screen and relays text.

I would like to turn this off as I am not sure what happened for it to be on

    Thank you

AFAIK you can toggle them in the volume menu.
Turn on the volume and there should be a button below the bar to select them on or off.

(this is the case on my non-oneplus phone)

Settings > system > accessibility > scroll down > live captions.
    Turn it off.

As long as my phone is working and has a recent enough security patch, I'm happy:D

    This.

I bought my phone, and it is still an awesome phone. I didn't buy it thinking of the updated OOS that would come. I was very happy with what it offered over a year ago, and it still performs great.

Happiness is where you find it. Where is the joy of complaining about something that you have no control over?

I think a large part of this is that many of us had phones and smartphones from the time where updates were rare and basically not expected on a device.

Where as a lot of the people here seem to have only gotten a smartphone in recent years where updates are more common/expected.

Either way, it helps for them to realize the update policy of the brand they're purchasing. Something they should research BEFORE buying, instead of complaining afterwards.

If my phone is showing abnormal behaviour, it must mean that all phones do !
