Please read. I'm talking about headphones, and mainly on calls.

I did read and I was referring to the original poster and 1st reply who say that the "media volume is too loud and not discrete enough", that the only solution is "a headphone" and "wish for the option to use 1 speaker", respectively.

You should have volume buttons on left side of your phone to lower the volume.

Go to your settings and click sound and click on audio tuner and turn on the enable audio tuner on the first thing showing there and if you unable to then plugin your headphones, (Just so you can set the bars of equalizer for your volume. Then you can remove headphones after you set the volume.) That should fix your problem.

Missing the audio tune option. Maybe is not a op7 feature?

    Hey guys,
Is there any update on this issue?
It seems like there are settings options on the 7+ that are not there for the 7?
Has anyone managed to find a fix for the loudness issue? Currently the headphones are not really usable!
    Thanks a lot

On my OnePlus 3 the low volume was much lower than on the 7 pro on speakers with media. With the Android 9 update on op3 it was unchanged and fine for me.
I tried the app precise volume but on lowest volume it's unchanged with this app.
I don't say the volumes should be lower at all like other manufacturers lower volumes in general to be in line with hearing damage regulations in some countries. I just want some more lower steps for sleeping radio like it was possible with the op3.
Or is there another app that could help?

I agree - lowest volume setting is too high for listening on a quiet place. E.g. Samsung has better control for volume.

I was having the too loud issue for call when kept on low volume. When I see this thread I checked hearing and aid compatibility under accessibility and turned it off and guys it worked for me. Now I can talk with compatible volume, and even I can change the volume level

Found a roundabout solution on 7t pro:
Instead of wondering about fiddling with the basic volume setting, lower hertz levels with an equalizer. Many music apps provide it (I use Muzio player) and it allows all the volume control you need.
Just be careful not to let ears explode on another apps since this solution leaves the main media volume higher than normal.

2021, and they are still having no fix whatsoever to this annoying small bug. Or is it a HW issue to produce less loud sound? In any way, missing aux and having this way too minimum loudness level issue are making this phone to be me first and last OP. Sadly.
