If you don't care about phone calls while using LTE a workaround would be:

    in the dialer type *#*#4636*#*#
pick the first of the 3 options (in dark mode it's black on black text)
find the drop down menu and switch it to LTE only.

I too am not getting LTE much on 3UK. It was fine on my OPO. Others have had the same problem and we haven't found a solution.
There was a thread about it.

I love the OP3 but this is a problem for sure.

depending on who your carrier is, you might have multiple options under APNs settings. Here in the US, there are 3 for T-Mobile and going with the iPv6 seems to work best for most folks.

Not the same problem, but I can't start new thread. I have problems saving APN settings. I live in Norway, and everything worked fine in my OPO. I switched to OP3 after getting it yesterday, and tried to set up and save APN settings to get 4G,but it won't even show up.

    What may be the problem?

I noted this issue the first call I made after upgrading to 3.2.1 I worked with Oneplus up to level 2 and they said it was a known bug in 3.2.1 and for now untill it was fixed I should downgrade to 3.1.2. So the issue is for data and if you are using VoLTE since this voice call it data you get choppy calls.

I am also facing the same issue. ATT is my carrier in US. They did all the APN settings but still getting 'H' as network. checked the speed which is just 2.3 to 3 MBPS. Even after doing the factory reset then also the same thing. Changed to new SIM also in ATT store and added IMEI no to my account but nothing worked. Also when I moved to network type to 3G not able to move back as LTE.Please help.

Can the carrier help with this issue in any way? Trying to get my o2 sim to get LTE (on a 10GB 4G sim-only plan atm) and I've been unsuccessful on all fronts. Even tried scouting around in the *#*#4636#*#* menu to try and force it on but it just completely disables my network.

    Hi All,
My issue is resolved. I just raised a replacement request as my set was under warranty. I just used a new SIM and boom got the LTE. I am getting speed in the range of 15 MBPS to 25 MBPS not sure how much I should get on LTE but good enough for me. On H was getting in the range of 3 to 7 MBPS. One thing I observed this time I got the set from CA and earlier it came from HONG KONG. Does this is the difference?

Well, the difference might be, that you now have a phone for your region, while before you had an Asian version.

I have the china version (I live there) and I am on holidays in the US and the LTE / Mobile Internet with T-mobile is just absolutely horrible. It's the worst experience on a dual sim phone I ever had. I am on Edge most of the time, not even 3G!!
My gfs iPhone, also a China version, works perfectly, and that's what prompted me to write this.
I did all the stunts (APNs, 3G only, reboot, sim trays, latest update, etc...).

Now I know there is a trade-off between having all the bands and so on, and that there are differences between the versions out there, but this is a bit too much on the crappy side I would say.

I hope this is somewhat related to software, but I doubt it and I guess I just have to take note, that this phone should not accompany me to trips to the US anymore.
Shame, it's really amazing otherwise, but you realize fairly quickly, that all that is not worth much if the most basic thing, your connection, is not taken care of.
