You need to be way more specific. It works in 90% of cases. What app do you feel is the issue, and what makes you think its seeing root and not another issue? Can you pass SafetyNet?

I use multiple banking apps and Google Pay all the time

So you use Google Pay at the moment with latest Google Play Services on you OP7 Pro?
I am currently using a other rooted device but i'm switching to the OP 7T Pro and i would like to root it too. But i would like to use Google Pay also.
So what do i need to make it work after rooting? Magisk Hide isn't enough i suppose?

Google Pay is automatically on the list to be hidden. Install Magisk. Turn on Hide. Done. Nothing special. Used it to pay at a vending machine just a few days ago.
