Monty Python's Terry Gilliam wrote and directed this. Packed full to the brim with magnificent actors, Jonathan Pryce, Robert DeNiro, Michael Palin Katherine Helmond , Bob Hoskins Ian Holm and more.
Bizarre, funny and disturbing, a classic.

Right. If you haven't seen this one you haven't lived. A Kubrick masterpiece! One of the most powerful movies I've ever seen.

    Listed, thanks! :)

Ah, Lèon is a truly great one, with Jean Reno, Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman competing for the best performance, this one is in my personal top 5, perfect choice!

Awesome, many thanks. I don't think I ever watched it. Did you get the opportunity to see Paterson? I did like it a lot. A bus driver that's a poet? Yes please.

Speaking of Gary Oldman, this is harrowing but fantastic.

Also has The mighty Ray Winston in it.
And speaking of Ray Winston, there's this gem as well.
    Aussie "Western"

    And finally, another Jarmusch.

    Fabulous soundtrack as well.

Westerns, nobody loves those anymore, right?

I'm also no fan of old school, classic westerns, you know, John Wayne, black hats vs white hats, cliché stuff.

There is a genre, a response to the clean cut, shaven stuff I do actually love, the spaghetti western, usually made in Italy or Spain, hence the name, and the great Sergio Leone is responsible for some of the best movies ever made, here are my favourites:

Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo, 1966
Also known as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Grit. Violence, dust.

Per un pugno di dollari (1964) Full movie!
For a fistful of dollars, more grit, dust and violence. I never know which is better.

C'era una volta il West (1968)
Once Upon a Time in the West is one of the best movies period. It's more a like a moving painting with sound.

The first scenes without spoken word, the wonderful story of the dying old West, men destined to die, and survival.

And the Angel that is Claudia Cardinale.

That's the mother of a whole genre, ain't she pretty? :D

Sigourney Weaver is unbeatable, an example for tough ladies.

Those movies were both considered pulp when they came out, also with a really tough lady, I guess you like your women tough Malidan ;)

    Cult classics by now.

    Thanks!

I loved the Westerns Mom's watch them every Sunday after the football.
    John Wayne
    Robert Mitchum
    Audie Murphy
    Dean Martin
    The perennial baddie Jack Palance
    James Stewart
    Etc.
I didn't like Gary Cooper he looked and moved like an old fella😂😂😂😂, but the Sergio Leone series were top draw.
The good, The Bad and @Mr. BG is on this week on UK terrestrial, I saw the advert but i just can't remember what day it's on.🥴

The use scene music and storyline saw me moving around in my seat.🥶

Take your pick but both had me freaked.

The good lady said never again.😂😂😂

I watched it again to see Buffy in action.😍😍
