Took my OP5 off charge when full around midnight and it's been left unused with the screen locked since and in nearly 17 hours of doing nothing, the battery has drained by 13%. Not liking 9.0.4.

Edit: Just realised my 3T has been off charge for over 10 hours and I've used it several times with mobile data while at work and the battery has only drained by 8% compared to my 5 doing nothing.

I am facing the same problem. Dash charging has noticeably slowed down from 70% to 100%. I tried various troubleshooting methods like battery calibration, cache clearing, changing power supply, changing cable and power brick and cleaning ports. It takes like 2 hour to charge from 70 to 100. I checked in through ampere app to get the readings, to my surprise it is charging just at paltry 100 mah rate after 70%.

Hello everyone. I don't know about my phone now because when i started to use it for YouTube, game (just one time ML) and turn brightness over 50%, my phone going to be warm especially on camera area. The heat is more than my friend phone. So is that any ways to prevent it?

Maybe you should get some diagnostic tools on the Play store and find out what is heating up first. The community will not do diagnostics for you.

This thread really turned it to be a Mega, surprising how common battery problems are in OOS.

No issue at all with my OP5 under OB29, and battery life is GREAT.
3 days on a charge, 6h of SOT and still 30% left. Love it.

Charge your phone overnight and make sure it's turned on

Dash charging cannot be used after 70%. Seriously. Anyone who thinks constant current charging after 70% is a good idea should prepare for an explosion. Your phone switches to constant voltage charging after 70%

    Uninstall pubg. Problem solved

It is more like users do not know how to use their devices

Is leaving your device on a charger at night that hard? Guess not. It improves battery but hardly anyone does it

Do note that many of the methods listed in this thread are pure myths and following them will only harm your device

Battery calibration is a myth that actually harms your battery

Wiping caches destroys everything your runtime ever created. It takes weeks for your system to recreate it and you'll face terrible lag and battery drain as it is recreating

i guess you have half baked knowledge about charging tech. It dash charges till 100, just the intensity of rate of charge decreases, if it doesn't dash charge then it shows red led Instead of blue led which confirms dash charge. I have used OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, and 5T, it never takes 3 hours to charge from 70 to 100.

Maybe this is because you use the device way too much from that 70-100%? No phone will ever fast charge beyond 80% as that is unsafe

If you were to force dash charge to 100% older batteries will definitely explode

I never use my phone during charging and It's common for batteries to charge slowly as it approaches 100 to preserve battery health.
