Meanwhile I'm back home. I was in Noordwijk aan Zee for a week - and will be there again for a week next April.
We've found a very nice house there - expensive but five minutes on foot to the supermarket, the pedestrian zone and the beach.
And she loves the beach... ;)

Wow, you've seen clouds! Here sky is gray in gray since yesterday, someone forgot to switch on the sun. Depressing autumn weather...

QuickPic? What are you doing with it? It's just a galery app.

Btw, I've found a a nice android app to reduce file size: Photo Compress. It reduces file size without reducing pixel size. I didn't test the function for multiple photos yet, but the single photo function did a good job in Noordwijk, didn't it?

Tried that app (quick test) but didnt liked the results, uninstalled it . Tried to compress to 1920 and it compressed it to 1280 or something. Quality also decreased.

It's hard to find an android app which reduces the file size. Most of them reduce the pixel size. So I was happy that I had found an app for holidays.
But you're right . :( I just also did a test and I was not very happy with the result.
So I searched for an alternative and installed more than a dozen apps. Most of them reduce the pixel size only , some crashes, one does just nothing. One left: JPG Image Size Reducer. Long name, I will reduce it to JPG-ISR. :)
Test: I chose a photo and compressed it with the apps. Then I cropped the (more or less ) same area of original file and compressed files with snapseed.

    Original file size: 8,017,892 Bytes
Photo Compress reduced to: 2,086,827 Bytes
    JPG-ISP reduced to: 2,006,066 Bytes

That's the photo I did in Leiden, Netherlands (compressed with JPG-ISR)

This is the crop of original photo

This is the crop of "Photo Compress" photo

This is the crop of "JPG-ISR" photo
    IMG_20161016_132204-03.jpeg

As you can see, the photo compressed with Photo Compress has some changes in colors. The result of JPG-ISR is much better.
JPG isn't a lossless file format and reducing file size always means loosing information, but JPG-ISR is ok I think.
I have a new app for next holidays! :)

And now I have to delete some other apps...

    Next photo . . .

A typical Dutch wooden shoe. Almost all the Dutch are wearing them (not that size) and making incredible loud noise in the streets .

    OP3 , stock camera , snapseed
    Delft, Netherlands

Ok, that was a lie. Only tourists buy these shoes, Dutch don't wear them - except @karpersmurf for walking on water while fishing. (that size) :D:tonguewink:
