[Mega Thread] Weird, Google services and digital wellbeing UI element outside of padding Oct 27, 2021 via OnePlus 8

What about factory resetting the device ?
Make sure to back up everything before you proceed with that option.
EDIT : I rHITkM. want to clear that the above given solution won't work so please don't Try To Reset the Device. As there is no permanent solution to this problem until whomever it concern resolves it.
Please try the solution given by respected community members @McJader @the_o2 which is temporary fix and pinned in this thread.

So today evening I noticed this discrepancy with Digital Wellbeing on my Nord.


Being the curious user that I am, decided to apply some basic troubleshooting steps and was able to solve it in a few minutes.
Here's what I did:

• Go to play store, search for digital wellbeing and uninstall updates. Make sure to turn off auto-update for digital wellbeing as well, this is important.
• Restart your device.
• Done, it was resolved.

Hopefully helps others too. I reinstalled the update for Digital Wellbeing and it came back again, uninstalled and it was gone.
Can't say for Google unfortunately, did not face that issue, but worth giving it a shot using similar steps.
Version of digital wellbeing that caused this issue for me was a beta version, Version 1.0.404478897.beta (329078) to be precise.

Edit: also happened with Google later on, unistalling updates for Google Play Services solved it.

Today this weird ' Google UI element outside of padding ' happened on my device too.



My Google Play services app version was this


I just uninstalled the Google Play services app update and now it is on this version

And I don't have this padding anymore.

How to uninstall the update:
Go to settings
Apps and notifications
See all apps
Google Play services
3 dots on top right corner
Uninstall updates.

Or simply uninstall it from here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms

And clear all the apps from recent memory.

Note: This is a temporary solution, it will occur again if the Google Play Services app update itself back.
Will mention if found any permanent solution

Meanwhile you can always report this issue to Google Play services app as an comment on Play Store.

Try uninstalling the google play services app updates.
It seems to have happened after the latest update

Does it go away with simple restart?
What OOS Version
Try ro clear OnePlus launcher cache and storage then Restart and check if its gone .
