I'm not curious really but do find it interesting , mainly following what comes our way as consumers .

I'm very Curious, thank you for bringing this to our attention my good man, if it will revolutionalize, I'm not sure..

I think current smartphone cameras cover the basic needs for 80%, it may be interesting for other, secretive applications that need, ehm, discretion, so to speak..

Detachable lenzes were tried by Motorola with the Moto Z a few years ago but the idea never took of.
There are not manny smartphone users ( including me) who want to walk around with a lot of extra gear with their phone.

Nice, thanks for the interesting info.
Lets wait and see if follow-up info wil arrive this year.
My current 7T is good for at least another 2 years.
And you mention 2022 to see arrival of practical applications, so I probably will skip the One Plus 9. And decide what to get as my next phone intil then

Not for everyone...but photographers often prefer such systems. Samsung's implementation was good, but the software sucked...

Not only that, but I genuinely don't know if we'll see this technology in a OnePlus device. The tech will be out there soon, but I don't know which OEMs will take advantage of it. :)
