    As per the announcements it seems like the midnight black is available only for the 128GB version of oneplus 5 which is a huge disappointment.

    Lets vote to indicate that we would like to have midnight black version for the 64GB also.

    There are not many color options. Infact, there is only one color option per model. So its definitely worth to have more color options.

    I actually would have preferred a Gray 128GB version. I bought the black and believe I will be happy with it, but I wish I had the choice.

    Gray or black or purple or pink; you'll put a case around it and never see the original colour.

    They may be similar; but they are not the same :). If oneplus thought they were too similar they would not have released the two shades.

    I strongly prefer midnight black over the other. Similarly there may be people preferring the gray version for 128GB.

    The color preferences are subjective. It depends on the taste of each individual. Hence the more the choice, the better chance of finding a shade matching ones preference.

    As per the official tweet of OnePlus, It would be coming atleast with 3 more colors (Unicorn, Red and Gold). As of now it is only available in Slate Grey and Midnight Black but however both of look identical. Check below image.

    You can check the https://oneplus.net/5 site. Atleast as of now there is NO color choice. (The color is implicit in the model)

    I'd like to have a black 6/64 model. However, I voted no in your poll. Simply because now the phone models stay unique due to their color.

    That is a valid point. It is true that some people may share your opinion.

    Personally I weigh more to the availability of color options than each model of the same generation having unique color. Infact, that's the only reason I did not buy the phone.

    1. I would not call it an option to choose color, but its an option to choose model. The color choice is forced.
    2. I would not call it black vs more black. I would call it grey/dark grey vs black. If you go to oneplus site and click the buy option and click on view on more images, you can see that the difference in colors in NOT subtle.

    I think 128GB is very expensive and I dont need the increased space and ram (I would rather prefer some other phone, or even wait for competitors to release new phones ... may be that's what I will do ...).

    I have the grey one and it looks very purple in daylight. Quite annoying. In fluorescent light it looks amazing like gunmetal but I really don't like how it changes to feminine metallic purple in daylight. is this good enough reason to return it?
